After some additional testing, I have had success with x11vnc as server
and krdc as client, so I suspect that the problem lies in the KRFB
server and not in the client.

I have the graphical corruption mentioned above, but I am using current

Didn't change anything that I know of, but all of sudden KMail, and
kontact when loading the mail pane, crash reliably shortly after

My wife's laptop experiences these same issues since upgrade to
Intrepid. Laptop is a ThinkPad R51 (855GM). Screen goes black while
playing video, somewhere between the first 5-20 seconds. Consoles black
as well, machine responds to commands local and remote, but display
never comes back until afte
This bug did not happen to my laptop using Gutsy, but now does using
Hardy release. Laptop is a Thinkpad R51 using an Intel 855GM graphics
chip.
