Guys I have this exact same problem with an Australian HP DV6612TX laptop Sound will mute (indicated by the red icon on my keyboard lip) Ubuntu will boot and unmute, play the boot sound and mute again. I will log in Ubuntu will play the login sound, and about 60 seconds later, sound is gone. HELP
