Hi! I have some great news (I think).
I am not sure what is the standard for choosing a host name, but Ubuntu let me
pick:
foobar
I assumed that this is an acceptable host name. I know that on Mac OS X, it
would look like this:
foobal.local
The problem is how hostname parses names from the /etc/
I have tested it myself and I have to agree with you. It is very buggy
and crashes on almost any website. The some of the items on the context
menu don't do anything, while others will crash the browser. I have
submitted a bug report to adobe. Hopefully they will get this fixed.

This problem seems to be fixed in linux-image-2.6.20-9. After updating,
I added the firmware to /lib/firmware/2.6.20-9/. Once I restarted, I was
able to get wireless again. (Note: Remember to select the linux kernel
2.6.20-9 in grub.)

I believe the cause of the error is that it was trying to install grub
on an invalid device. You could try doing (hd2) or /dev/sda instead of

I believe you just have to remove any packages with ubiquity in the name
and also gparted if you want an installation that is identical to what
should be installed. I think it crashed just as it was trying to remove
the installation packages.

I tried triaging your bug, but was unable to get it to freeze. I think
the Ubiquity team will need more information or a log of the crash (if
there is one) to fix the problem.

the installer froze when I changed the time
This is not really a bug as it should work with no prior setup because I
believe it is built in to the 2.6 kernel. You may want to file a Support ticket
or search around for solutions on Google. I found this which might be of help:
