I wanted to install zynsubaddfx synth. During the install jack was also
installed. I think this screwed up my previously working installation.
Now I have no sound. Any hint on how I should remove jack? Regards

No HDMI output. I tried several tests. Sometimes, I get ubuntu booting
on HDMI (loading screen) but then it switches on laptop screen and
cannot access the HDMI TV anymore.
I am available for some tests if needed.

windows, it's impossible to reach the others windows.
The only solution it's to close each window, one by one, disconnect and
reconnect.

HP 1270m, multidisk (SATA) installed
Was running 10.04 without problems since April 2010.
Started 10.04 update process yesterday and then started 10.10 upgrade process.
Got an error message regarding the fact that multidisk installations may
encounter problems with GRUB. Didn't care...
