Also can you explain what "Arrange for dbus to auto-launch on address
they specify using the DBUS_*_BUS_ADDRESS variables." means so that I
might be able to do it?

My system has 3 monitors.
I am running Parole in full screen mode on monitor 3.
When I move my mouse over monitor 3, the controls for the video popup on
monitor 1.
The only way I've found to control Parole like this is to turn off
fullscreen.

Brian Murray, yes I know its about the gnome-disk-utility, and that is
where I get the problem.
Whilst the alternative install doesn't have a GUI, what on earth has
that to do with this error?
I was using the Disk Utility post install of the OS.

file types too) after parole has been playing a selection of MP3 for a
while (in my case an hour or more) sometimes, and using the file manager
to add those files to parole, parole does not respond. No erro

Say you have a 80gb tar file.
Say this tar file is on a SAMBA share on the network.
Trying to open the tar using file-roller is something you will deeply
regret.
1) file-roller VERY SLOWLY attempts to cache the entire file locally (I mean it
takes it ages)

I have this problem after doing an install from the alternative CD 11.10
so it'snot just isolated to the live CD.
mdadm may well have been removed for speed reasons, but then Disk
Utility needs to fail gracefully and not as it does show that mdadm
completed successfully.
