I just hit this bug. I recently put in a symlink for my ~/.cache
directory. My deja dup version is as follows:
~/.cache$ apt list --installed | grep deja
WARNING: apt does not have a stable CLI interface. Use with caution in
scripts.
deja-dup/xenial-updates,now 34.2-0ubuntu1.1 amd64 [installed
Correction, I was able to get gmoutso's solution to work. I realized
that I needed to create a separate boot partition that didn't use lvm
caching. In retrospect, this makes a lot of sense.
