So if you close TB it closes and is not running in the background.
I.e. in Evolution you can choose to close the program to the message-indicator.
In TB you can only minimize the window.

[regression] "Initiate Window Picker for

in 12.04 going to system settings and standard applications, trying to
choose the calendar app, only gives GEdit as choice.
this should be Lightning with Thunderbird as the standard E-Mail
Application in Ubuntu.
btw even the calendar in the clock indicator should show Lightn
using the nvidia drivers on a fresh install of 12.04 64-bit with the GT9800
leads to system freezing if activating the workspace Expo...
only switching to console with STRG+ALT+F1 and back "brings the system back.
with the nouveau driver everything works nearly fine...

the tracks in the playlist so i never could change it back to the

installation just like in Synaptic.

the keyboard shortcut for closing the Evince window is totally different
from other programs.
in all the programs i know the shortcut for closing the window is STRG+Q
and this should be a system-wide shortcut for consistency

i have an icon for Thunderbird in the Launcher.
now if Thunderbird isn't running and i start it through the
messaging-indicator, there will be a new icon created for Thunderbird in the
Launcher instead of using the existing icon.
