This is a bug during upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04. So your question
asking about 12.04 makes no sense. The bug only exists in the upgrade
process from 7.10 to 8.04... and eventually I upgraded past that version
and there were no further problems.

I have an iPod ending in 3R0. I am running karmic (9.10) but manually
installed the .deb package from lucid. I'm now running libgpod 0.7.90.
I checked the library, and the patch is indeed installed. But it hasn't
fixed my problem. It still shows 'no music' on my iPod. Perhaps
rhythmbox isn't r

I'm running ubuntu 9.10 and rhythmbox 0.12.5. I plugged my ipod into
the computer to charge it, and listened to some songs with rhythmbox.
When i unplugged it, it says that there are no songs on it. When I plug
it back in, rhythmbox shows all my songs and can play them.

In Firefox Preferences - main - Downloads, it is set to "Save files to
Desktop." Yet they are saved to /tmp and then periodically deleted.
Why is Firefox ignoring the Save files to Desktop setting? Is there a
work-around for this?

I installed 7.10 on my system and then tried to upgrade to 8.04RTS with
the Upgrade Manager. When the install was almost completed, it said
