regression-update kernel 3.5.0-24 alx suspe
More info - seems to affect about 1 in 20 starts. Faulting boot (13.04
VM on KVM, guest is 3.8.0-21-generic using VGA adapter, host is same
kernel).
Begin: Running /scripts/init-bottom ... done.

I see this on both physical install (i5-3210M CPU) and virtual machines
via KVM. Never had the issue with 12.10.

Sorry to add, hence I don't think it's a dupe of #1172415, since that
seems to be a resume issue.

Bug still present in 3.8.0.21-generic (Ubuntu 13.04):
May 21 20:38:28 G580 kernel: [ 941.208792] alx :03:00.0: PHY SPD/DPLX
unresolved :
May 21 20:38:28 G580 kernel: [ 941.208794] alx :03:00.
Same here (Lenovo G580, AR8162) - as a workaround, modprobe -r alx
allows the system to be suspended or alx could be blacklisted, obviously
that doesn't help if you use the wired adapter. lshw -c net lists alx
driverversion=1.2.2.
No problems up to 3.5.0-23 with driver built from http://www.orbit
Seems vmware tools have to be installed from the vmware ISO, since the
packages.vmware.com binaries are also broken for 12.04LTS with 3.5
kernel.

I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.10, and was about 75% of the way
through the system update when I lost connection to my router. I went to
reconnect to my router, but it just kept on 'connecting' and then
without connecting the system informed me that it had disconnected
