I agree, now I'm using Lucid beta1 and ffmpeg2theora's version is still 0.24.
It would be suitable to be able to use the newer 0.26, it uses Theora 1.1 which
contains _lots_ of improvements!

after installing the ATI's proprietary display driver (i don't know what
version, but the one ubuntu suggested me today), if i try to open
"display settings" (system -> preferences)
