I tried to be systematic and did over 100 boots with different nouveau-
settings both with and without xorg.conf, in varying configurations.
Nothing works. At best I got unusable 4-color(?) screen that was
mentioned in the first post of this thread. Text terminal in single-mode

I've got the same problem that i can't edit my mobile broadband
settings, and I'm quite sure i made that connection available for all
users, before it worked as usual even on karmic.
I am searching for a possibility to reset this option manually. Though

Installing "blueman" fixed connection problem.
Suggestion: there should be a notification for user if blueman is missing and a
cellphone is paired with ubuntu.

I have a fresh install of ubuntu-9.10 karmic beta / samsung nc10 netbook
with all the latest updates.
