Touchpad can't be completely disabled in Oneiric

Public bug reported:
I want to disable the touchpad because despite the "Disable touchpad on
typing" setting, it still gets in my way.
There is no option in the control panel to do this. When I use the
hardware swtich, the indicator shows that it is disabled but it still
functions.

Public bug reported:
It worked fine in Natty, but in Oneiric when I want to start Do, this is
what I get:
Missing method

/usr/lib/mono/gac/Mono.Addins/0.6.0.0__0738eb9f132
Is there a way to bring back the normal systray for Tomboy?
I don't like this (indicator-like)behavior, I understand that Canonical design
people think they know better but they should understand people who disagree
with them. It's not that hard to add a checkbox or heck a gconf key.

I assume it should be some issue with plymouth and my proprietary

gotta be some plymouth related issue.

I can see that nobody cares about issues like this, anyway I made a

I agree this, highly degrades UNR on MSI Wind, an since netbooks are
playing a critical role these days, I find it really strange that this
bug is ignored by the developers.
This looks to be a bug of the gnome-power-manager.
