I am experiencing the same issue. CPU usage is very high when GAL
address is not set. However, I am experiencing this throughout the
Evolution session, even when it is minimized and idle (not only when
choosing New Mail etc.).
I am using Hardy final release and Evolution 2.22.1

I am using Evolution 2.22.1 from final Hardy release. I am using
Evolution to connect to my company's exchange server (over an internet
connection). Everything seems to be working fine (stability is not at
its best).
The one issue is with contacts, I can't search for them and they don't
auto-compl
I am running into this with Hardy final release, FF3b5 and NM 0.6.6u5
when using a Kyocera kpc650 modem.
The only info I can add to this discussion is when I ran into this issue
with Evolution, changing it to on-line mode in the file menu, wouldn't
fix it, it showed the connected icon at the icon
