For future readers - I tried using another libneon consumer, cadaver. It
appears to be working fine with GSSAPI in libneon. I'm therefore
thinking this is more of a davfs2 issue itself, and have opened
https://github.com/alisarctl/davfs2/issues/15.

I was able to confirm that the envvar works with other Kerberos-
connected applications (e.g. `curl --negotiate -u : $ENDPOINT`). Setting
the envvar before running `kinit` works fine as well.
The command I'm running is `mount ~/mountpoint`, no sudo added.
`/home/username/mountpoint` is defined in
@ahasenack: no additional output after setting that environment variable
(either stderr or a file) and running the appropriate `mount` command.
I believe this may be due to neon using a secure context, which should
drop that envvar.

the package, and I can confirm that I see the expected GSSAPI strings in
the neon27 binary.
That said, trying to use Kerberos behavior in a neon27 consumer (davfs2)
doesn't seem to be working. I'm not sure if that's a configur
