In my case firefox was in the background when it crashed, I was using

Upon the 4+ restore, the battery icon disappears from guidance. Once
this happens the KDE will no longer suspend/hibernate when the lid is
closed. Restarting guidance-power-manager usually fixes the problem.

When ever trying to load/update number of web sites one or more
konqueror browser windows reports an error. I'm not sure if this happens
based on order opened, size of page or just randomly.

apt-get shouldn't fail because of a bad package, only report it and
continue on. It should figure out whether the bad package is needed by
other packages and not install those. Forcing the other package is about
the only reason a user would need the command-line.

Force "dpkg --configure -a" to run when one of the adept apps crashes.

I think this caused the knetworkmanager to start hiccup. It was unable
to finish connecting to a wired connection. This started with a wake up
