Disabling ACPI didn't help. Using an older kernel (the 2.6.32-22 linked
above) the computer works correctly, without freezing just because it is
in battery mode. Don't know how to proceed from there. Are there other

Could it be caused by a mismatch between the versions of oolite and
oolite-data? In the repositories oolite-data is at 1.65-2 and oolite at
1.65-6build2. I am going to try and get both on the same version and
report back.
