I went back to konsole 20.04.0 (built from upstream sources) and still
see these artifacts. Consequently, something else in the xorg/KDE
software stack must be responsible; I'm not sure how to proceed with

Hello Paride, today i recreate my bigger configuration with Debian 10
and 11
Debian 10 Proxy and Debian 10 LB Manager witch Apache 2.4.38-3+deb10u5
every thing worked as expected no error log entrys. LB Manager over
proxy is fully workable.

I have to correct myself. Switching on ubuntu-proposed packages did NOT
help, it was switching to 2.4GHz that made the WiFi crash less often...
What really helps is creating a link from the -46 to the -43 firmware as

Switching on eoan-proposed fixes it for me. This removes the
iwlwifi-9260-th-b0-jf-b0-46.ucode file and updates the kernel to

Further investigation reveals that this is actually an upstream cgdb
0.6.7 deficiency. Newer GDBs do output coloring, which cgdb can deal
with starting with version 0.7.0. In other words, when Ubuntu moved to
a newer GDB version, it should also have bumped cgdb to 0.7.0 or newer.

I can confirm that correcting /etc/X11/Xsession.d/55numlockx did not
help. The solution I used is to set numlock off in /etc/default/numlock
like Georg Schwarz.

Confirming comment #7's solution: The cosmic version of fonts-liberation
(1:1.07.4-7 instead of bionic's 1:1.07.4-5) fixes the issue for me.

Confirming for Liberation Mono. This just seriously bit me when
exchanging LO Impress files with a colleague. (Took me a while to
figure out). Temporarily fixed this by installing LO 6.0.4 from
libreoffice.org in /opt, which happens to ship its own version of the
Liberation fonts.

After using LibreOffice Impress (6.0.3-0ubuntu1) for a while, X.org
freezes for several seconds; the mouse pointer is still movable, but
neither LibreOffice nor KDE/Plasma reacts to it anymore. Then X.org
crashes and brings me back to the login screen.
Some parts of the dmes
Seems to have been fixed by a recent update; boots into SDDM now as
expected, using nvidia-drivers-390.

dual-GPU laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad T460p, Intel Corporation HD Graphics

fails with a Python traceback reporting a missing /etc/modprobe.d

nvidia-390 fails to boot graphi
For me this is still broken with -proposed packages although this bug
has "Fix Released" status: When I have xserver-xorg-video-nvidia-390
390.48-0ubuntu1 installed, the system boots into a back screen.
Without, LightDM comes up as expected.
