somewhere else in the stack, maybe in network manager. Has one of you

Just upgraded to Trusty from Saucy and saw my keyboard was behaving
wrong. I noticed the new IBus icon and found out by chance that it was
this deciding for me what layout I should use.
Could this not be an opt-in? The look'n'feel of this applet is horrible

I have a similar (same?) issue on two of my computers upgraded from
precise. Two others are ok. And booting from a USB key of a daily works:
it's only 50% of my _upgraded_ systems that fail.
Their hardwares are very different: one is a Dell laptop, heavily Intel-
based and the other a HP Microserv

Killing bluetoothd did not help.

Installing Kubuntu Intrepid alpha 6 now and this bug is still as present
as ever. The installation is slowed down by the time Ubiquity takes for
itself.

I switched to openntp as ntp was not keeping the time on my server
with the default configuration, but I believe this bug did not happen
in Hardy and can be safely closed.

As title says, I'd like to use the autotools plugin, but it seems not to work
with the current version of Eclipse/CDT in 8.04.
I can see in your changelog that you may package said plugin. Would that be
difficult for you?
Alternativ
I believe my last install is proof enough that this is indeed fixed: I
prepared my partitions manually and installation went on without a
hitch.

Is hasn't been an issue since EVMS and DM mapper have been removed from this
system. I would need to try with a Live CD to make sure it's gone...

Well, _that_ patch I have no problem testing: it just replaces a dump by a
message, and the ending result should be essentially the same: the ACPI
stack cannot deal with my (nVidia) video card (AIUI)...
If you send me something to test (kernel image, I suppose), I shall run it

Make sure, if you have that the ouput 'Front' is enabled (check alsamixer if in
doubt).
On my computer, Front and Master seem to be both affected the volume,
headphones and speakers alike, and the headphones volume does nothing at all.
