To repeat the crash, the trick is to select no localization (language = none,
or 'C') during installation.
After login to desktop, gnome-language-selector will prompt about incomplete
language support but just close if you try to correct it by

* After upgrading to acpi-support 0.85, my T60 now enters full sleep mode
(fans, display and HDD turned off). However, when waking it up, everything seem
to come back to life except the display. I can see the display backlight is
turned on but the screen remains black.
* Still have the ~60s hang
I confirm, I have the same regression on my T60.
