Same here, on bionic with gnome-maps 3.28.1-1.
I can search for an address, a landmark or else, but if I select it (by
pressing enter for instance) the map won't navigate to this point.
Directions, however, are working fine (with the search function still
being a bit shaky).

Ok, found the fix on an partially related AskUbuntu question. I just had
to empty the gst1.0 cache:
rm -r ~/.cache/gstreamer-1.0
And then everything worked. The Ubuntu update tool maybe screwed up at
some point with this.

I wanted to test gstreamer's pipeline functions in command line using
Jono Bacon's tutorial. I thus ran

Confirmed on a 14.04 Gnome-shell, upgraded from 13.10.
I applied what m_heindl suggested, waiting for G-S to crash again to see if it
"fixed" the keyboard problem (i'm on a french AZERTY keyboard, and it does
switch to qwerty as well after a crash).

It's not the first time i come across this problem with Transmageddon:
If i input an mkv video file encoded in h264, it won't transcode anything! I
can put whichever video format i want, it won't transcode the mkv file to it.
The progress bar doesn't move, no new transcoded
I tested it on a PC with 2 hard disks, basically the same and exact
configuration, but amazingly it ran *fine*. The only difference is that
on the other PC (the one that created the bug), both HDD were SATA, and
here one of the two is IDE.

ubuntuone-couchdb, as proposed on the service tab.

Yeah, i didn't want to use the good'ol CDboot-and-chroot method to repair GRUB
until someone more advanced than could maybe use the bug to eventually fix it.
The repair worked fine, and i can merilly boot my 11.04 now.

I'm under Lucid Lynx, installed it today, and you know what? It Doesn't work :(
I'm also running a 64-bit Intel CPU (Centrino vPro 2).
Everything else works fine, and audacity in particular. I googled the problem
and did not find a fix :(

then write de line

Then save, and everything works fine (even wget :O ).

Yep, i got the same problem: i changed my system-wide settings to a proxy
connection, then wanted to get back to the regular direct connection... and it
didn't work.
The weird thing is that i can still access the web through most applications,
like Firefox or aMSN, but none of system-related app
