I think this time I've found out some interesting news!
First of all: ignore everything I've said before, suggesting some peace
of software being the culprit.
Now I have found out what piece of software _really_ is responsible for
the unusable system state, after waking up from suspend:
gnome-po
I stopped the module for my webcam from loading ("uvcvideo") and
disabled bluetooth, apache, mysql services also (now have to be started
manually).
since then everythings's back to normal.
or is this just a magic bug?

But the hard disk is not used at all when the sysload goes up, so I

The usual behavior I have is
- go to stand by/ suspend
- wake up: load of 20+
I disabled the firewall with Gufw 0.20.7. then,
- go to stand by/ suspend
- wake up: load fine, system is not thrashing
Enabled the firewall again and after another stand by cycle the system
is behaving fine.

Turning swap off with "swapoff /dev/sdaX" made it possible for the first
time to have a usable system after suspending it.
If there is anything else I should be looking into please tell.

I had the same problem on a samsung q210 laptop.
#sudo apt-get remove mouseemu
solved the problem, after a reboot(?).
