Confirming above - kernel itself works fine but the bmcwl driver won't
install/initiate;

Interestingly, if I do a "sudo iwconfig eth1" with the bcmwl driver, I also get
a kernel panic. Can anyone confirm this behaviour?
To confirm, I'm running Raring and seeing these symptoms where reporter states

This seems to be caused by the "bcmwl" Broadcom driver for the bcm4313.
I can confirm this symptom as well - all other network connected devices grind
to a halt with this driver - i.e. Streaming media on xbox360 is unusable - I
put my laptop to sleep and BAM - all devices are good again... wake t
Confirming that this doesn't work for me either - same card & currently
running 13.04 daily builds.
