Amedee, it would probably be best to use the java in the repositories,
because that's what the bug reporter is using, and that's what the
commands are trying to fix. Also, it helps with bug testing for the
hardy java package.

Yes, just now, using a fully updated system, I can still get this crash.
Also, I just found an easier way than I previously described to
reproduce this crash.

This isn't just for the Splint window border. I am seeing this too, and
I am using clearlooks as window border. Darkened colour after startup,
but after opening the appearance settings dialog it fixes it self. See

I recently started seeing this behavior using fully updated Hardy alpha
4. I think miked might be having a separate issue, because my keyboard
keys still work and I see no confirmation dialog. I just log in
normally, then x is killed, then gdm starts again, and I must log in
again.

Same problem using fully updated ubuntu 8.04. Using a workaround from
here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=621864) fixed it for me.

I also could not find debug packages for libgtk-vnc or vinagre. Also, I
tried the 0.4 deb provided above (I downloaded it, but didn't test it
until now) and the program still crashes. In my case, all I have to do
is connect to a server on the same computer (see duplicate bug).
