Fixed for me with qt 4.5.1 on jaunty. Could qt 4.5.1 enter the proposed
repository to be even more tested and then enter jaunty main
repository? It's a bugfix release after all. It solves a lot of
graphical corruption problems that afflicted kde 4.2.x with 4.5.0, from
the cashew one to the window
Zack: I think this is simply impossible to happen. Maybe there are some
performance/stability patches that can be backported.

When I click on the K-menu, kickoff is not focused. This brings mainly 2 issues:
1) I can't close it except by clicking again on the k-menu icon
2) One very nice kickoff feature
I have hoped that the update to kde 4.2.2 would have solved this (since
it has solved A LOT of other qt 4.5 regressions) but I have to confirm
that the problem is still there. Everything seems fine with trunk (kde

When I start a new kde 4.2 session, notifications work fine. Then I hide an
applet from the system tray (like kbluetooth and kwallet systemtray icons)
using the new "hiding system tray items" feature of kde 4.2. After this I
get...double notifications from everything (take

I'd say go with Epiphany. Is very integrated with gnome (actually it's PART of
gnome). It's also a lot lighter than firefox, wich is a big plus for netbook
user. It can also be costumized to have a very similar user interface.

xv works for me, with video overlay and textured video (textured video is
disabled in hardy for now, so I've tested it with debian sid driver).
Video overlay is efficient and fast as with xaa.
Textured video works (perfect compiz integration) but tends to be slow on my
system.

issue, at least for us intel owners.

I think I've found something more. The problem appears to be caused by
totem visual effects, enabled by default when you play music. Disabling
them from totem preferences makes the music playable again.
