Since sflphone-kde has just been upgraded to 1.3.0-1ubuntu1.1 which is a
fix for #1303897, this bug still exists hence it is not a duplicate as
previously suspected.

I have it after an upgrade from 12.04 LTS. Doesn't appear every time
though.

When starting sflphone KDE interface the setup wizard is displayed. None
of the buttons can be clicked, the only way to terminate the application
is to kill the process.
This happened after the update to trusty, on saucy sflphone worked fine.

If you don't want to install gnome-icon-theme-full then another option
is to untick the "search for optical media capture devices" in the
preferences. Obviously you'll lose the ability to rip from DVD if you do
this though.

In an attempt to try to find a work around I made the following change:
Settings > Desktop Effects > Advanced > Composting type > OpenGL > Qt graphics
system > Native
(it was "Render").
I've now been running for nearly a week without seeing any freezes, it
was at least one a day. As this is a KDE
There's not much description in the bug report but I have marked it as
affects me because I am suffering from Xorg freezes since updating to
Raring. I'm using Kubuntu and nvidia-313-updates (313.30-0ubuntu1). I
have tried nvidia-304-updates and nvidia-310-updates but they both
suffer from this prob

I have just followed steps 1 to 15 and visually I can confirm A to E
exactly as you have written. I now have two X servers running:
