the original install from flash drive with 17.10 was great
after some updates reboot would hang with splash screen
had installed lamp stack
at one point I was able to get the orange splash screen to go away and I saw

I suspect there is something missing like needing to add Development
Repos to current GA Repos. I don't know what these are so if you have
that info, that would make the Workaround successful.

I downloaded and installed most of the Xenial Distros on the 22nd 2 days
after GA.
I just downloaded Ubuntu Desktop 64 from the URL you provided and it does
not have the problem.

This error hits all of the GUI Distribution Installs. In other words the
only distribution not blown out of the water is Ubuntu Server.

Hard Failure with this message during Choosing Keyboard "Continue".
Must cancel installation.
Received additional error
The Install encountered an error copying files to hard disk.
[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/target/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-
gnu/dri/vdpau_drv_video.
Downloaded Daily Build for AMD64 4/8/16 15:59 at 4/8/16 15:49. Can't
explain why time stamp was 10 minutes ahead of current time. This fix
does not seem to be incorporated with this build. Even though the fix
package accountsservice - 0.6.40-2ubuntu9 is available, it does no good
unless it is inc
