I just upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10.
Supertux 0.3.1d-0ubuntu2 now has a bug.
Playing the last available level on forest island, you know, the one
with the lamps, I get issues with those lamps.
The steps that only become solid in the right colore
sudo killall -9 motion put out the LED on the webcam.
But why did it start in the first place?
I have a /tmp/motion with 76 pictures of me, and I don't even know why.
Proving that my webcam does indeed work in Linux, how can I make it work
in other webcam applications, like CamStream?

I just upgraded to Hardy Heron.
New BETA of FireFox has forwards and back-buttons, but they cannot always be
clicked on.
It seems to work after the browser has been running for a while... I could
click Back now if I wanted to.

It went well for a while. Then it wrote many times something about saving a
file type 1 on this area: /tmp/motion

should (tuxracer.)
But in Xorg.conf, there were two places where Driver "i810" was mentioned. I
changed both into Driver "intel".

I am at work now, and the laptop is at home.
I can give you that information in roughly 8 hours from now.
You may be right about the i810 driver, but I am not sure.
I can confirm this in 8 hours from now, when I am back from work.
I thought that Ubuntu kept itself up-to-date.

Distro: Tried Ubuntu and Xubuntu Gutsy Gibbon.
Problem: All seems fine until X is supposed to start. It doesen't.
Screen is black, except for the flashing white cursor in the upper left.
Keyboard does no difference, not even ctrl-alt

am in the navy, and haven't had time to spend on computing lately. I do all my
computing from a smartPhone.

I just tried the latest CD, (this time, NOT alternate). It does the same
thing, even when running live! It stutters, almost like a record with a
scratch. Sometimes it will skip a fragment of a second, sometimes it
will repeat. MP3s work much better tham system sounds. System sounds can
go on for up

I re-installed the system. I will do everything you say, and then repeat the
fatal upgrade once again. We will see what has changed, that way.
This is a fresh install:

Not just the startup-sound.
XMMS, amaroK and so on, have the same problem.
It seems that each somg is plit into hundreds of pieces.
Rather than playing them in rapid succession, every 1/10 of a second is played
5-6 times, before moving on to another. It's not really echoing. It's
stuttering.
