Change proposal for Maverick (2.6.35) based on kernel patch in description:
* kvm_emulate.h:
* Change struct operand so that val and orig_val will be changed from
unsigned long to union like this:
union {
unsigned long val;
u64 val64;
Must be fixed in arch/x86/include/asm/kvm_emulate.h and
arch/x86/kvm/emulate.c.

Guest kernel hang during boot when KVM is active on i386 host
After "rmmod thinkpad_acpi" is called, mute button starts to work well like in
10.04. Also brightness status is well synchronized. The only problem found is
with "wireless" button (Fn+F5).
Is there any possibility to set the system to not use thinkpad_acpi for
ThinkPad SL510 permanently?

Yo
The problem is also affecting me on ThinkPad SL510 after upgrade to
10.10.

Public bug reported:
After upgrading from Breezy to Dapper, I cannot boot with new installed
kernel. It locks after "Waiting for root" message. It seems, that serial
ATA is not compiled in kernel, but is placed into a module (?). With
older Breezy's kernel (2.6.12) it boots perfectly.
My computer
I've forgotten: After about 5 minutes, it unlocks and boots from
ramdisk. From /proc filesystem I'm getting, that It doesn't know about
any installed harddisks.
