I use aptitude ALOT, especially to uninstall things.
And from my experince it's MUCH better to solve dependices than apt-get,
and at fixing broken packages.
Also Debians, documenation prefers aptitude over apt-get, and I belive
they have a good reasor for this.

Whenever a new kernel gets installed I have to boot up with the old kernel and
remove the nvidia driver, then boot into the new kernel and install the driver
again.

May I ask you Pedro Villavicencio why this should be declined for jaunty? :-)
I think we should at least get a notification saying some like: "drive
sucessfully unmounted, it is now safe to remove it" if we right click on the
drive and select unmount.
Why shouldn't we?

This still doesn't work for me in Jaunty (Ubuntu 9.04).
I also downloaded and unzipped lazarus-0.9.26.2-0-amd64-debs.tar which includes:

Network manager show popups about connection etablished
I can confirm this for Intrepid.
For me this started then I began to use Twinview mode in Ubuntu with
nvidia x-server-settings.
Even if I try to use "try to fix X server" (to make a new xorg.conf) the
problem still persist.
Hope this get fixed till Jaunty at least :-)
