I have the same problem, I have some audio speakers attached to USB and
when I suspend my Ubuntu machine they are still on power which they
shouldn't.
So far I found no way to switch them off (Googled around). Is there any
process here on this incident?

resuming it hangs and I have to reset it.

driver as recommended by Ubuntu.

Every time I start vmplayer it creates an empty directory in my home
directory, /home/fbn/vmware for example.
There are no files in it so I guess this directory is useless but
annoying because it's not hidden and it's in the user's home dir
I think it should be fixed if that's possible, no matter if it's named a
bug or a look issue.
