Title:
gvfs can't
For what it's worth, I *think* I have the same bug. Recently set up a
home server with vanilla Ubuntu 23.10, up to date, using Samba
(currently samba:amd64 2:4.18.6+dfsg-1ubuntu2.1). To access the shares

created composed of the concatenation of two existing tags.

I'm also affected by the bug. I'm not sure if untexing the .tex files is
wise anyway -- I recently found myself searching for LaTeX commands for
which I've long forgotten the syntax , knowing that I used them in an
old document.

The use of two pull-down menus in Gutsy, namely one for the layout and
the other for the variant, is much clearer now -- just selecting the
"Canada" layout selects the correct layout (as mentioned by Etienne, in

I am now using Feisty (after having updated to Dapper and then Edgy) and
the keyboard layout seems perfectly fine to me now.
