Hi.
I've just done the upgrade from bionic to focal using the GUI upgrade tool.
Upgrade hung after the terminal printed the line "Pregenerating Context MarkIV
format. This may take some time...".
I found an answer on the web that I need to press Enter few times, which

also don't work, cal prints the usage info instead of required output.
Separate thing: month names printed by cal [year] in Polish language are
incorrect. They should be the same as for example in java
import java.time.Mo
So the shutdown is only hoping that upgrades are done in small packages
and they will take only few seconds? What if I installed a software that
has buggy update scripts?
If there is no mechanism that prevents long-lasting upgrades during
shutdown, then there should at least be an option to not al
I think it was totally mysql issue. I didn't have to reinstall anything,
finally the upgrade somehow succeeded. After restart mysql is working
fine.

I initiated the shutdown and instead of shutting down the machine, OS
performed an unattended upgrade of mysql server, which took more than 10
minutes.
Shutdown should shut the machine down immediately.
This is very bad user experience.

I found the cause of this problem, it's the syncwall software, not the
ubuntu itself. But it was working fine until today. Anyway this bug can
be closed.

CTRL+S does not save anywhere, CTRL+Z does not undo anywhere, I also
cannot send CTRL+C in the terminal window, so this becomes very
inconvenient.

Starting today (21 Feb 2018) some keyboard shortcuts stopped working.
In firefox all shortcuts involving the CTRL key do not work. There is no
reaction. For example CTRL+T does not open a new tab, CTRL+N does not
open a new window, CTRL+F does not initiate the search, CTRL+A

Issue:
Desktop is not responding to any clicks, I cannot click any icon with either
left or right mouse button.
Furthermore I cannot log out using the upper menu, after clicking 'logout'
nothing happens.
If I lock the screen and unlock, the issue still persists.
