i think that maybe a problem whit the nvidia driver, because the hdmi
port is attached to the nvidia card, and this drivers don't work as it
should be.
You think that anyway i must open a upstream bug?

SOLUTION:
Look for /etc/group.lock, /etc/passwd.lock and /etc/shadow.lock files
and remove them.
Be careful to only remove the files ending in 'lock' or else you might
damage your system.
