Public bug reported:
After running "apt-get dist-upgrade" i get an error stating that dpkg
can't configure the new kernel, and that it is probably due to an
earlier error.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04
Package: ubuntu-release-upgrader-core 1:0.220.6
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.1
Well, after I the upgrade completed, I just did
sudo apt-get install -f
and the problem was solved for me.
