Sun's binary is generic, so isn't it possible to have a DEB package for
all Ubuntu versions? At least for the most recent ones...
I work as a Java developer, so I also need an update on the JDK.

It might be something related with HP printers, since more users are having
problems with them over SAMBA.

I'm using Gutsy and it happens frequently. Some times the windows are
opened this way and other times they get like this when I minimize and
maximize it again.
I've tested with Metacity and Emerald and the prob
When I took the pictures above, after some minutes it returned to
normal, but a blue spot appeared on the top of the screen.

Window drawing crashes. It happens easily with the live CD, but when
it's installed it's very random, I can work for hours without it happen.
The motherboard is a ECS 760GX-M. I'm using Gutsy.

I've just a made a fresh Gutsy install on another PC, changed the theme
to Human List and the problem happened. It seems that it changes to
random mode and the themes Circles and Happy GNOME ar the defualt for
this option.

On Gutsy, when I try to add a windows printer via SAMBA, I have to
browse the network and when I click the on the computer that has the
printer, it is not listed. I had to manually type the path to the
printer.
On Feisty the printer was automatically detected.

Taking another look to the image, besides the two themes mentioned
above, I noticed that the random theme mode was also automatically
selected.
