I currrently use Ubuntu 12.10. I haven't used 'home user backup' since I
couldn't restore and that was wtih 8.something or 9.something. I use the
backup that comes with 12.10 now.

In the system settings 'Brightnes and Lock' I have the screen swith set to
'never' and the screen shuts off at 10 minutes. I don't know how to fix the
problem. Before I could set it to an 'hour' then back to 'never' and re-boot

I upgraded to 12.10 today and it was corrupted. Iam even on-line
through a file on my Desktop I opened with fireFox. I downloaded it
again at the library and have it on usb but can't use it to boot. I am
booting I belive with an older grub. I can't rember the version I use
With oneiric the screen blanks out when you set the time in the 'screen
utility.' It might have been a hardware conflict with my HDMI flat
screen since the screen saver worked when the HDMI wasn't plugged in.

wrote and gave me terminal command to delete a file. after that my headers

When I was doing the upgrade to Ubuntu10.10 it returned error status 2 on
linux-headers-2.6.35-22-generic. It finished the upgrade but it said the
upgrade was unstable. When I tried to add software sources for my System76
that menu item didn't
Pedro; This is the second reply-- There was just an upgrade for Rhythmbox on
the Update Manager. The updated seemed to fix my problem. It worked with even
the Alternative Rock Station --- Now I can fly through hyperspace while
listening to the music

I use a Intel 945GM
I use the Ubuntu driver.
I asked Support at System 76 about the problem and he said to re-install
9.10 with a CD in Safe Graphics mode.
Is it the driver because before I up-graded the vilualization worked
great in Rhythmbox.
