I just install ubuntu desktop amd64, install all the tools to build a new image.
create a new image template with ubuntu-defaults-template (empty, I don't do
any customization).
launch:

and the process ends with the error

most of the things reported can be done only modifying gfxboot source
code, AFAIK there's no "make" option to select the default keyboard
layout neither to associate some languages (german) to some other
keyboard layout (swiss).

but in windows you've a drop down menu with all the available domains,
it took me 4-5 tries to find out how to write the username (domain\user,
user+domain, [EMAIL PROTECTED] etc...)
anyway there should be an order thus if the username is written without
domain the system should try to authenticat

maybe it's not the passwd command but i don't know what is lauched when
the DC makes the password expire (in that case changing the password
works).
anyway when you type "passwd" the system says something like "new NT
password" or something like that (i don't have the real output now) thus
passwd
additional note: if I make a password expire from the DC, on the next
login the user is prompted to change his password 'cause it's expired,
and it works correctly. But it doesn't work when the user try changing
it from shell.

i had extensions but i erasad my home/.mozilla and /etc/firefox thus not
extensions and other things were loaded
safe-mode did not have any effect
changing useragent to edgy did not have any effect
anyway i did not updated from edgy to feisty but i already had feisty
(from herd4) but firefox sto
the only entry in about:config with feisty in the value is a comment, i
think it's not that useful but i try to change it as you suggested, you
can see the change in the attachment, anyway... firefox still continue
to not work :-\

volume controls are not tied with master ones, i've to switch to totem

master volume does nothing on pcm volume

i can't get it to start, it goes in "segmentation fault" before showing
