Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
gnome-control-center did not install itself into my menu (the old system
administration menu system remains) on feisty upgraded from edgy amd64.
I don't really know what other information to provide.

I have since reformatted and gone back to edgy due to the
tuesday/wednesday updates completely breaking my 32 bit compatibility
with Cedega.
This bug seems to be related to a known issue under edgy where ehci_hd
locks up, and if you either blacklist that mod or fix the irq assignment
issues it see

Another detail noticed yesterday. Hotplug works upon initial bootup
until the kernel delivers the message that "disabling IRQ 7". This
message was present under feisty with 2.6.17-10 and -11 but hotplug
still worked.

after upgrading to feisty beta on a laptop with working hotplug under
edgy, usb hotplug is not working. all devices are recognized and started
properly if lsusb is executed. any further debugging info can be
provided upon request.

also, the devices are recognized if plugged in at boot, so only hotplug
isn't recognizing them.

When I plug in a usb audio device it is not detected and set up with an
alsa driver, however when I lsusb, it is then detected.
