So, I reinstalled ubuntu, and everything is fine now.
To solve the problem with gdesklest, I did two things, installed python3-all
and followed the repor tLinux Mint Forums • View topic - gDesklets install ...

This solved my problem, and I hope
I switched from pidgin to empathy in 10.04.
I used the shortcut "-m" to view unread empathy messages.
However, since the latest kernel update... that does not work anymore!
Can someone please tell me what shortcut I can now use to view my unread
messages?

I've tried to use kingston memories of 1GB on my motherboard ASUS A74A
under Ubuntu 8.04, and my computer didn't load the enviroment grafic of
my system, by other hand it worked with Windows XP.
Does anybody know what's going on?
