Ok you pointed to the root cause, my /etc/udev/rules.d/50-oculus.rules file had
a newline beginning with GROUP="plugdev", SYMLINK+="ocuquest%n".
I joined it with the line it was supposed to go with:
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTR{idVendor}=="2833", ATTR{idProduct}=="0186", MODE="0660",
GROUP="plugdev", S
Of course, here it is:
/lib/udev/rules.d/60-libfprint-2.rules:2:SUBSYSTEM=="usb",

TEST=="power/control", ATTR{power/control}="auto", MODE="0660", GROUP="plugdev"
/lib/udev/rules.d/60-libfprint-2.rules:4:SUBSYSTEM=="usb",

Title:
Kernel 4.9+ regressio
Same issue in Mint 18.1 (based in Ubuntu 16.04), lagerimsi script works, what
also works (more annoying) is to rm -rf ~/.config/pulse, pulseaudio -k, pair
the headphones, launch volume control -> Hardware and pick a2dp sync for the
headphone.
Lennartware at its best.
