Just to clarify, It keeps happening with latest kernel and it doesn't
seem related to suspending the screen as I previously tought. Normally
I'm using chromium browser intensively with some 3D acceleration

50% boots, knetworkmanager freezes before connect and the icon dissapears from
the systray, leaving an empty space. I have to kill the process and start it
again.

Last week I updatet to kde 3.5.4 packages and now kmldonkey service (those you
can find in kde's components at preferences panel) don't start anymore. It was
working ok with 3.5.3.
mldonkey-server command works ok running with my regular user.

I can confirm this bug with 686 kernel and a p4. With 386 kernel the
system is stable.

Last kernel 686-26 doesn't seem to solve the problem for me.
At the moment I use 386 kernel because I think that set max_cstate=1 decreases
battery life according to this web:

Same here, with spanish i18n, i.e., konqueror tolbar items are
'Dirección' (ok), 'Edit' (must be Edición or Editar), 'View' (ver),
Bookmarks (marcadores) and so on. Kicker menu is also in english.

Really is not a big problem, i.e. I can live with kubuntu-desktop package until
upgrade to new distribution, then install first the package, upgrade, and
uninstall all that I want.

(WISH) Reduce the number of dependences in kubuntu-desktop
in my case the recorder is in /dev/sg1 with correct permisions, but
there is /dev/sg0 wich belongs to root group and every time I try to
record a cd, cdrecord tries to open this device. If I delete it o change
the privileges, the burn goes succsesful, but at every restart it
returns again with wron
installed by default wich can include the actual selection of packages
(openoffice, wireless assistant, maybe some games).
