Same here. The machine frequently loses the custom keyboard shortcuts
which I configure in Settings/Keyboard. Some examples include closing
windows with Alt+W, switching to workspaces by Win+1, Win+2, etc.
If this helps, I use a Thinkpad x220 docked to an external monitor and a
keyboard. Initially
89c51, I just check the patch with kernel 3.4.7 and it didn't work for
me.

I have laptop Dell L502X & Logitech Performance MX. Dell worked perfect
with Logitech for a year. Then I dicided to move to the new laptop Sony
SVE1511MFXS. I took my hdd with installed ubuntu and put it in the new
laptop. And the mouse stop working at start.

Thanks. FWIW, this failed to work after ap-get clean up and update, and
using updater widget.

It can be a kernel problem, or upstart's problem,
since I've only experienced it with Edgy (flight2, beta, rc) and Mandriva
2007(uses 2.6.17 kernel)...
