Precise. It's important to get the latest Java 7 working for Precise.
Packages are available oracle-java7-installer and openjdk-7-jre, but I
couldn't get either one to function correctly. I finally found this bug

I stumbled across this bug while researching why tracker-miner-fs has been
failing ever since I upgraded to 12.04.
I changed the permissions using
$ chmod u+r ~/.config/nautilus-actions
not wanting to disturb the other permissions
$ ls -ld ~/.config/nautilus-actions
drwxr-xr-T 2 dude dude 4096
Use the following instead to avoid the foreign key error.
$ glance-manage version_control 0
$ glance-manage db_sync

Glance DB migration
Stack traces for either 'start udev' or 'restart udev' hang at exactly
the same point as reported by Jürgen Kreileder. The traces stop midway
during a poll. I had to kill the 'start udev' task from a second
terminal which resulted in the Terminated response above.

On a hunch, I decided to try testing for an undocumented dependency
between udev and dbus.
Installing dbus failed to fix udev hang upon start.
# dpkg-query -l dbus udev
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold

cups-pdf broke during upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04.
Bruno MACADRE fix in #38 works for me, but still can't print to file
with PDF selected.

I'm seeing the problem on both Jaunty and Karmic.
Steps to reproduce: install libgimp-perl, pdl and dependancies
$ sudo apt-get install libgimp-perl
open a terminal and start gimp, then in gimp create a new image.
