When trying to log in to a Windows2000 server, the remmina windows
closes after validating the Windows credentials. By logging to the
server with an other RDP client (rdesktop), it appears that all the
sessions I tried to open with remmina are registered as "Disconnected".

In my case uninstalling Zim, the message dialog did appear to come from
LSC. I did not receive a message from the notify daemon. Didn't
realize that maybe I should. The notify daemon is crashing for me in
general though. I typically get email or ubuntu one sync notifications,
then a few seconds

i.e. - I got a failure message,

I do think that network size/noise must be a big factor. That would
explain those of us who don't or rarely experience crashes at home but
do on our schools' networks.

I believe the issue is related to how the rtl8192ce driver handles
wireless n. I haven't experienced the freezes on my home b/g router but
have them too frequently to practically use wifi on my school's n
network.

I've tried Acroread (Adobe), XPDF and PDFedit. All three work fine
(well, PDFedit I can export a PNG that looks fine).
Here is a scan of what I see (top is the Acroread print, bottom is
Evince). I should add that I'm using Evince through the Ubuntu Document
Viewer 2.24.1, which claims to use

Bitmaps on pages are rendered correctly on screen, but when printed they
are shifted up from their proper position. In one case a bitmap was
sliced in half and the left-side was shifted whilst the right-side was
in the proper position.
