I've created another user with minor privileges 3 months ago. Today,
when I logged into that session, I could only see a small white terminal
window. I couldn't see the desktop at all. When I typed "exit" at the
terminal, it logged me out of the session. I'm not sure what

After I put the desktop in hibernate or suspend mode, I can't awaken it
unless I power-down or turn off the computer. Isn't there a way to
mimic what Windows does? I've heard that this used to work in the
Jaunty version of Ubuntu.
