I can confirm this, in fact, it crashes from time to time, and the time
between crashes seems to get smaller and smaller with usage time. When I

When fixing it, it's important that we don't want this to happen:
1. Drag mouse to the panel
2. Press (and release) the button in a menu
3. Move the mouse around the screen
If we leave the menu and it disappears it can get quite annoying.
So we can only make it for one-click only like Marco desc
I added design because someone has to decide what happens when a newline
character is found on a title. Should it ignore it, show three dots,
keep it as it is right now, or do something else.
There are many possibilities and I thought it was up to the Design Team
to decide stuff like this.

I think that maybe that's because you installed extra applets on Ubuntu
10.10. It happened to me because I had installed a battery applet on
Ubuntu 10.10 and then when I upgraded I had 2 battery applets.
I may be wrong in your case, but it's what happened to me.

I installed byzanz (package byzanz) and I can't choose the applet when I
select "Add to panel" in the GNOME panels.
I am using Ubuntu 10.10 64-bits.
