I finally resolved the problem. I have also had another libXft and libfreetype
in my /usr/local. Eliminating the library of the application from my path
solved all my conflicts with the remaining applications.
Using the recommendation of treviño I performed an alias to my
non-ubuntu-application
... but generated others. Now I've had some problems with the whole
Xwindow. I reinstalled the Hardy library.

I couldn't launch applications from the terminal. The Xft messages
appeared (kpdf, oowriter, etc). Using the libXft from feisty resolved my
problems.

I have it all working. And now it stopped to work. First, my firefox
doesn't show the windows decorations. only if I go fullscreen mode and
then I return to normal view it appears. And with openoffice, nothing.
It is not the legacy...

Now I'm running compiz using:
compiz --replace --indirect-rendering -c emerald
This is part of my xorg.conf:

Disabling the legacy fullscreen from tthe workarounds plugins of compiz
solved the problem

I've had the same problem on kubuntu gutsy amd64. If I open an ooffice
file, then I haven't the window's borders, and everything is on full
screen. but, if I open another oofice file (for example, first oocalc
and then and oowriter file) the second window is OK.

I have a HP pavilion dv6308nr with Feisty Fawn. I updated the kernel
from 2.6.20-16 to 2.6.22-13 and the brightness keys stopped working. So,
updating again brings the problem again.

I rebooted with the irqpoll option and at the time, I haven't
received yet the irq7 stuff. Strange... Everything looks fine. I've
detected only one difference at dmesg:

I've had an Hp Pavilion dv6308nr with Feisty Fawn Kubuntu (kernel
