Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: acpid
The attempt to turn off kernel printks if VERBOSE=no sets all the fields
in /proc/sys/kernel/printk (in particular default_console_loglevel) to 0
(KERN_EMERG), causing all kernel messages to be logged as emergency
messages and thus broadcast to all

Binary package hint: libhtml-tableextract-perl
When using HTML::TableExtract as a HTML::TreeBuilder sublcass (via "use
HTML::TableExtract 'tree'"), it uses HTML::ElementTable, which requires
HTML::TableExtract >= 2.08, but feisty only has 2.07.

The hdaps driver in feisty seems to have been reverted to a version that
does not support separate X/Y inversion at all, and the X41 is marked as

The patch at http://www.codon.org.uk/~mjg59/tmp/acpi-support.debdiff
seems to fix the problem for me (I've suspended and resumed about half a
dozen times without problems now). Thanks a million, Matthew!

I seem to have spoken too soon, I can still see the problem with the
followng versions of the (I believe) relevant packages:
linux-image-2.6.17-10-generic 2.6.17-10.26
xserver-xorg 7.0.22ubuntu10
xserver-xorg-core 1.1.1-0ubuntu11
xserver-xorg-video-i810 1.6.5-0ub
This is known and fixed upstream, see
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=19564 and
http://lists.mysql.com/commits/6174.
