Public bug reported:
Not sure if the maintainers here are aware of this, but libxft2 has been
misbehaving with emoji for a while. The result is that e.g. st (the
terminal emulator) and gitk crash immediately when trying to render
emoji. Very annoying.
There's an upstream PR in the works here:

Public bug reported:
This occurs with qbittorrent, deluged, as well as the demo script for the
python bindinds provided at the bottom of this page:
http://libtorrent.org/python_binding.html
I ran the latter with gdb and attach a dump.
I have no idea if this is something in the build process, or
for me this happened when I was running the example commands from [1] as
root:
mkdir test-snapcraft
cd test-snapcraft
snapcraft init
snapcraft cleanbuild

I have been seeing this happen in Raring over the last day or two now.
Might of course be a different issue...

I am currently working on quantal and the HUDis still not working in LO.
Lo-menubar is shown as "transitional dummy package" so I figure the HUD should
work in theory?

Things that I noticed:
Sometimes the drum sounds on login actually get played but after that the
computer stays mute.
If nothing else this tells me the speakers are working fine, so no hardware
failure here.
When I ran ubuntu-bug on this and it tried to play a test sound I could hear
the speaker
To me, this looks very similar to [1] and [2]

I stumbled over this with DejaDup because it cannot read the content of the
file and tells me that backup is not complete (which is correct because of this
bug).
So any user using DajaDup will most probably stumble over this if it occurs.

With more and more games being added I would suggest more subcategories
for games, such as "Action."
Also, on the Website I cannot see the Simulation category. Does the website use
a different categorization?
If so, why?
