[Bug 998353] [NEW] Internal sound card - No sound since update to 12 .04 from 11.10

Public bug reported: Since updating from 11.10 to 12.04 my internal soundcard has become mute. Terminal displays that I have a soundcard but sounds will not playback through it. I'm pretty much a noob to this sort of jazz but something seems wrong. Any help would be much appreciated. ProblemTy
